With over 15 years of professional culinary experience, Chef James Taylor has honed his craft in a variety of kitchens including both Modern American and Japanese fine dining, resorts & food trucks. His passion for fresh, local ingredients and innovative cooking techniques has shaped his career and continues to inspire his work.

Currently, James serves as the Nutrition Outreach Coordinator for the North Coast Growers Association, where he leads chef demonstrations and cooking classes, sharing his knowledge and love for seasonal, local food. He also oversees the certified farmers market section of the Eureka Friday Night Market and helps deliver harvest boxes to the local community.

When he’s not working on outreach programs, you can find James in his kitchen at the Foodworks Culinary Center in Arcata, continually perfecting his craft and creating exciting new dishes.
